Overall Impressions:

Rating: 3 out of 5.

My first impressions of Kirkland’s Signature Premium Small Batch was very good. In the glass you have a nice Amber to Honey tone, you get great legs, and a liter of it! On the nose I immediately got hints of Char. (It reminded me immediately of cutting open my very first Bourbon Barrel) I also picked up strong notes of floral along with Citrus. When tasting this “Neat” you definitely got a strong pop of Carmel on the front of your mouth followed by a heavy spice on the back. After a couple sips the spice levels off, as I believe you are adjusting to the pop of the 103% proof. I did hit it with a little water to back off the proof and you begin to enjoy more of the flavors that this Bourbon brings to your glass. My recommendation is to drink this on ice or use this as a Bourbon Mixer.

Mixed Drink:

1-1.5 oz Bourbon, 1 oz Peach Schnapps, 3 oz Orange Juice, 2 oz of Ginger Ale, Garnish with Fruit.

Overall, this is a refreshing drink that would be great on a hot summer day. Careful because this one can and will catch up to you as they go down very easy. The combination of Peach, Orange, and Ginger play very well off of each other.
